CGPortfolio is celebrating the 100,000th image being added - sounds like a great excuse for a party!
CGSociety Special Event
Paul Hellard 14 February 2008
When we launched CGPortfolio just under two years ago we had no idea that it would grow to what is is today. With over 32,000 portfolios and 100,000 images, CGPortfolio is the hub for the digital arts community, and growing daily! CGPortfolio is the best place to showcase your work and to see new work being created across the globe by artists like you.
We think 100,000 images is a perfect reason for a party; so to celebrate we're awarding a prize to the unsuspecting 100,000th contributor and we want you to help us choose the best CGPortfolios via a poll.
Check out the poll over the page and give us your selection of the best CGPortfolios »
Digital illustrator and painter Adam Tredowski posted the 100,000th image into CGPortfolio, as the first addition to his small personal presence on CGSociety. Tredowski has been a CGS member since November last year. Born in Poland, he has now lived and worked in Market Harborough, England for the past three years.
Adam is working freelance at the moment, pursuing his passion for graphics and arts in general. Before working in the digital medium, he was trained in the traditional arts; with pencil, oils and some aquarelle, but when he bought his computer, everything changed.
Adobe Photoshop is his main instrument for creating his work nowadays, which ranges from imaginary scenes and concepts, to the more abstract. Adam has begun his CGPortfolio in earnest. Not so much in quantity, but quality. He uploaded his ‘Dry Dock’ image early last month, which promptly won a CGChoice Award, voted by the community.
So, Double Congratulations Adam! You will be receiving ZBrush 3.1 courtesy of Pixologic plus a book bundle (d’artiste Matte Painting, Elemental 1 & 2) courtesy of Ballistic Publishing.
