This week, CGSociety features 'URS', a short film from the creative final year student crowd at Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg. The story features some amazing concepts and visuals, with the team led by director Moritz Mayerhofer.
The CGSociety CGChallenge 'Secret Agent' video entries are finishing up in a week. With the image category complete, it's worth going to have a look at the bunch of unusual suspects.
There are also a heap of mini-challenges and contests on the CGSociety forums. For instance, the Hard Core Rendering #21 'Queen of the RocketMen' results are coming up. Have a look at what's coming out of the render.
On CGTalk, Boa Pham has presented 'Darla', an amazing portrait with the most mesmerizing eyes. Pham is rather prolific but you just have to check this one out.
In industry news, we heard that the Walt Disney Company has acquired Marvel Entertainment, Inc. in a stock and cash transaction, MAXON has released CINEMA 4D v11.5 and Vicon has let loose with boujou 5.
