The Visual Effects Society recently held the 2007 VES Festival of Visual Effects at the Writers Guild Theater in Beverly Hills. Highlights included the VES 50: The Most Influential Visual Effects Films of All Time. CGSociety went along to watch the show. This week's highlights:

Challenge 21 - 'Strange Behaviour' is launched and it is going to be great. We spent some time talking to the winners of the last Challenge and learnt how their lives have changed since their amazing short film 'The Shift' was recognised by our judges.

Last week, Barbara Robertson interviewed Senior Animation Supervisor David Schaub (Surf's Up, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Polar Express, Stuart Little 1 & 2, Cast Away, Hollow Manwhere he shared some stories from his years of experience, and we learn what skills he looks for in the Animators who make up his team.

Only days to go before the full release of EXPOSÉ 5. This year's edition is a 'must have' with 222 pages including 298 artworks selected from 4570 entries, work from 55 countries, including 108 new artists.
