Notes: seen a couple of screenshots here , so i decided to post one , too .yea! humm... info packet makes itself present.. *zzapoff!!!* dat green horror is old photoshop caught in glorious custom win95 theme .the whole thing is run by old faithful 350 PII with 128mbram so the pic ain't ever gonna have like anywhere near the max resolution of the contest rules .okay and the afore- mentioned system is being operated by human male , me ,(even though "friends" at work think I'm one of them wookies , grr) , linked to the system via keyboard and mouse. might seem kinda like a sad setup , but not many complaints here , wouldn't have time to finish all the details anyways and haven't gotten familiar enough with wacom so that wouldn't be too helpful a tool , yet. It's once again time for the sexy girl close up with a few entertaining extras in the background ! ( And oh yes I gotta story for this one , too . You see , takes so much time drawing these , and your mind's in the pic all the time so story for the pic is pretty automatic for me. ) Right , on with the show ,shall we ? In a distant galaxy , there was a planet called Cunane (<---from "come up with a name" if u wanna know :p ). Cunane had two colonial planets , but they aren't the issue here . Cunane had became under attack by a radical section of Maphlethian Rock and Heavy Metal Artists Association because it had banned the selling , owning and distributing MRHMAA's products. Battles raged for years . In the picture , the couple , are two valiant defenders of Cunane . Having served in different parts of the planet for long time they hadn't met for a whole year . Well ,the rockers were defeated , and they finally met again. He had taken some damage in the fightings and had to have parts of him replaced with mechanical ones and she's having a rather difficult time to cope with that . THE mUSHROOMS ARE FOR EVERYBODY ! Click for full-sized image		Milestone: Concept Sketch Date Submitted: Thursday, 06 May 2004 Title: stoopid scanners lose so many shades...grr Notes: ........ ... in this dark scenario an utterly corrupt sect of humans not only half-heartedly dabbled in genetic manipulations but also in biomechanics , machine parts merged with flesh , blood and bone ... and darker things not to be mentioned here . ....... ... so different were they that they had been forced to live separately from other humans , which they accepted - well would have accepted if the other humans wouldn't have left them nigh resourceless ... most things they owned they had stolen from others or gathered from junkyards . Only food shipments and medicine were given to them . Having gathered their forces and anger for some time the outcasts then attacked the other humans (at this time they were so different most humans didn't call the outcasts humans anymore ) simultaneously on many fronts , mostly as guerrilla - type attacks , thefts , extortions and conspiracies . They lost . Big time . Not in small part because of insanity was a frequenter in the midst of these chaotic , disfigured beings . ........ ... the image here depicts the ruined capital of the outcasts , mostly destroyed by civil war far before the human armies reached it to wipe out the rest of the abominations to life . The leader of Summer Day - the crisis control operatives could name their groups anything they liked , usually something they all liked and valued ) - here , with his team scouts the battlefield for signs of corrupted life to be disintegrated . In his hand he wields an Armada , a sword like weapon that actually consists of hundreds of robotic battleships , frigates , fighters , scoutships and nanobots . The handle is a power plant for the ships as well as a sensors station and the stick protruding from it is docks , hangers and repair stations for the ships . The crew , some of which are tiny or microscopic lifeforms live in three cities built on the leader's skin . One of the cities is on his left arm and two smaller ones are at his ankles . The blue rays used by the leader's teammates are sensors that detect lifesigns as well as electronics . Well , related stuff anyways . She's a member of Greenpeace and has this waterproof Warhammer 40000 toy orc robot she has painted herself and loves to bits .She winds it up every now and then with a little key and watches it march about in battlelust , singing orc war songs , waving it's knife and shooting stuff with it's blaster. She loves the toy so much that once when a couple of her friends jokingly hid the toy she fell into coma for a week and started to die until someone realized to wind up the toy . The glorius orc battlehymns revived her in an instant. She has since rigged the toy and herself with explosives that detonate if either is separated from the other by more than 2 yards for more than a day . Click for full-sized image		Milestone: Concept Sketch Date Submitted: Friday, 23 April 2004 Title: 0o0oooo0oo Notes: n this squid was like on his way to meet his girlfriend like on the other side of the bay but there was these big humans swimmin there in the ocean shore between the squid and his girl and he took a detour to avoid being accidently damaged or killed by the crrazy reckless noisy big humanzz and the squid notizesz a glittery thing on the ocean floor . Well nearby robtic biomechanic magic factory had dumped defective machine parts safely away in the ocean and the glittery thing was a humanoid hand and the squid ate it but it stuck in its mouth. Now the squid could not eat but with tendrils and mouth muscles learned to operate the hand stuck in its mouth . Unknowingly the squid also bumped into a little lamp which stuck into it too . Starving little squid stumbles onto the shore out of the water and gets hit by an acid trip. This goo comes from above and is dna-insta-morph wonderfluid. It comes from sewage pipe where it was dumped cause it didn't work . It should've reformed creatures covered by it to what they wanted but once covered the cretures lost uniqueness and self and form and didn't know what they wanted and thus just collapsed into more useless fluid .Whoa ! The squid just wanted to eat and the D.I.M. made it's head fin sticky and acidy so fliez stuck in it and melted into the finthing and drained through the skin into the squid's hungry tummy. yea. and then D.I.M. as its final miracle thought hand lamp and squid were one and made them work together and electricity flowed through all and hand moved with renewed strength and lamp shineth with brilliance around the prezcenzseof de szquid. The whales have landed , resque of stranded kin is underway , as is the usual government anti-invasion welcoming comittee greeting operation . Some people on the beach , despite being at first scared out of their swimsuits , have quickly befriended the whales and now , being unable to help much in the rescue , just chat away with whale guardians. Our scientist has been promoted to head chief of extra terrestial affairs agency and is being questioned by one of her subjects on how to proceed with the greetings ..., codenamed "operation coast guard". sound and look ok ? Click for full-sized image		Milestone: Concept Sketch Date Submitted: Monday, 19 April 2004 Title: neverending stooorryyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Notes: What , EmpY , NO ,I just put the text in there to clarify the sketch , and you go like "map" n "legend" .. now I got even MORE ideas ... never gonna move on from sketch phase at this rate . ANYWAYS , something I thought for the foreground of the pic ... since the whales don't have ( or use ) a cloaking device or any such , they have a few orcas (killer whales) around for guardians , just in case. This one has a tattooed flipper , a pair of humanoid arms , combat belt full of fresh fish , and a nerve-linked weapons system consisting of two stun guns and two harpoons :P . With the harpoon the whale could hit a target and if it weighted under 20 tons or sumthin , pull it under water ... cool, yes ? well these whales ain't hostile so it's just for show . This guard whale has encountered teo humans at the beach and is wondering at their fancy cell phone... orca:" hi , mom! " mom : "tommy ! who was that ? gina , are you two allright ?" yea better get some sleep , sorry about the lousy quality of the sketch .. ps. just imagine the weight and size of the electric guitar played by that blue whale there in the background.. So it'll be line art next , at last . The pic's about a bunch of spacefaring whales on an exploration voyage to their total astonishment hearing whale cries from a planet nearby with their strong sensors. They investigate and find out a group of whales have been driven ashore , their sonars scrambled by a passing oil tankers sonar system . Thinkin the whales would probably die on the shore they decide to pick them up to live with them . In the spacefarer ship the earth whales would then be fitted with the computer brain implant , the anti-grav and wing implants and would of course be educated alot by the smarter spacewhales . -? Click for full-sized image		Milestone: Concept Sketch Date Submitted: Thursday, 15 April 2004 Title: whalesmore Notes: Here now is the whale with the bird the bird is the word b-b-b-b-bird is the word Actually there's two birds , one on each side of the whale . This is because the whale's new to the computer system n stuff and has hard enough time learning to manipulate the arms. So , the bird on the other side controls the lower set of wings while the bird on the other side controls the upper set . All are brain-linked to each other for optimal performance . The human trainer and his shocked girlfriend stand below. The trainer teaches the animals the workings of the brainlink and how much fun arms are ! the girlfriend is shocked cause she thought whales spoke like Icelandish , but of course it learned spanish to better cope with the spanish trainer of the spanish machineflesh facility . Right , then there's the action part of the situation that goes like this : being a bit on the hungry side the whale being all nice and polite doesnt want to approach and bother the little dog of the girl .The dog is you see angry because it's a nasty bastard that hates red birds . Now the reason the whale would want to approach the dog is because it stands on boxes of fish .The trainer therefore scoops some fish into a basket but teasingly throws just a few at a time to the hungry whale's mouth . Not too original still , but o well . This trained whale's got a computer assisted brain which helps him use the mechanic arms and wings . Powerful anti-grav engines keep the whale afloat in the air through which the whale swims. the wings are more like guiding fins but couple as solar panels. Click for full-sized image		Milestone: Concept Sketch Date Submitted: Saturday, 10 April 2004 Title: next one Notes: this is nice cause i almost like forgot what it's like to draw and it becomes more fun and easier daily , not that there's much effort put into these pics, but they're just sketches so they'll have to do :). And yea , the scout was my favourite ,too . One of those things you just draw for fun and realize afterwards how cool it is. :) anyways , Up next we have this crab , born unique , bit of a smart , eccentric fellow. Lives on a beach , collects all kinds of stuff. A radio plays in the background , has always played. Regardless of the smarts the crab never knew this . It's like always been there , and so different from the other stations the crab never took it for a radio station .It was a science channel , endless dry boring chatter the crab hummed to - but never listened to - and collected stuff and created stuff from the collection . Other crabs didn't do stuff like that , they just ran up and down the beach doing what other crabs do .Our crab notices its exoskeleton is way easier to attach stuff to than lets say human skin . In a few whatevers (<--(irrelevant?) time unit) the crab has crafted into its left claw a wrist watch . Shoes are a nice idea and the crab comes up with exoexo , super hard plastic covers for its legs , already protected by armor plate like every other crab , but now nearly indestructible - or so thinks the crab , anyways . So time goes on and humming to the science channel (played by some student's abandoned , solar powered , old but sturdy radio , hidden under a rock nearby) the crab works on , subconsciously adapting stuff from the radio waves , he nerve-sat-links the wrist watch so the time is always known to him , checked regularly from satellites orbiting earth , adds memory modules so he can store valuable memories he don't want to lose , etc. etc. ?? Click for full-sized image		Milestone: Concept Sketch Date Submitted: Thursday, 08 April 2004 Title: take 2 Notes: in your dreams (let me know if you see them , k ?) New concepts now. In this fresh scenario we have a dockhand who's been ordered to move computer stuff unloaded from a ship into a warehouse . Well the dockhand's been watching reruns of x-files episodes the past 48 hours straight and is dead tired so he takes a nap on the cargo boxes before getting to work. This acid rain starts while he's asleep and melts the cardboard boxes the computer stuff comes in and dissolves him and all stuff around a bit too. he then drops in the midst of the stuff and gets hit by lightning that appeared with a storm , slightly after the rain . the computer stuff melts in a curiously compatible way with the human stuff in the heat and electricity . Yet another bolt of lightning hits a crane above and destroys the chain holding up a container full of synthesizers which then drops on the stunned dockhand , breaking apart and spewing the synthesizers on him and all around the docks . Hours pass and the storm goes by and the dude awakens , horribly disfigured , a pile of active monitors glowing on his back , showing an assortment of music videos , from his body hanging a dozen keyboards . In his sadness he finds he can produce music with the keyboards and thus affect the selection of music videos on his back . In hunger he finds he can summon lightning to strike him to give him energy .Being so mutilated he hides in the darkness of a nearby ship's cargo hold and begins playing dark melodies to pass the time . Click for full-sized image		Milestone: Concept Sketch Date Submitted: Wednesday, 07 April 2004 Title: hello Notes: Okay , I'm in the contest so I can post stuff for fun . Here's some sketches for the first idea . Somewhere out in space a war broke out and people started to evacuate from its way . A transport ship carrying animals (domestic , wild , zoo , you name it , the ship was designed to carry all sorts of life forms and it was packed to the ceiling with them ) got hit by stray shots from warships battling nearby . One of these shots damaged the transport ship's navigations system enough to make it recalculate the hyperspace jump the ship was gonna take to escape the battle . The jump took the ship into the the atmosphere of some planet where an advanced culture was testing a magnificient huge device that was supposed to create a wormole in the air above the planet's surface , through which the creatures could travel to other parts of the universe . The device worked perfectly and the wormhole appeared , sucked in the transport ship and vanished with a sigh. In the cosmic mysticism that was the closed wormhole the transport ship , still travelling with high speed , collided with another spacecraft trapped within. This other ship , a robotic exploration and science vessel , noticed the smaller transport ship protruding from its side cause it felt itself mighty hurt by the incident . It immediately went into repairing the damage , sending out hundreds of probes and repair units , but the other ship had plunged staright into its braincenter and as so often happens with braindamaged things performing surgery on themselves the operation didn't go as planned . All the exploration and science vessel managed to do was to sew the transport ship into itself . "Like the wound's closed but the bullet's still inside"- the robots thought through pain .Meanwhile , the wormhole , as if irritated by the collision shuddered immensely and spewed the ships out back into normal space . Sensing the sudden change the suffering robot vessel went into analyzing it when yet another incident caused waves of alarms and pains go through its system . The hundreds animals in the transport ship , freed by the collision now run rampant in the robot ship , scared and hungry , attacking or running away from anything moving , flying straight at bright lights , chewing power cables ,etc. The central brain unit was stomped on and eaten , auxiliary units were being clawed , logic circuits being slithered through . The robot ship was going insane and put all of its medical and repair units into hunting anything with a hint of intelligence or probability of developing some in the next million years to repair its brain and replace its sanity. In the huge chaos that followed the defenseless robots were mostly destroyed by the raging animals while hooking up the very same animals into themselves and parts of the exploration and science vessel .What remained was a few simple robots and a jungle of machine-creatures and creature-machines more or less linked with each other , no part of the whole mess smarter than a human child . Speaking of humans , there were a few in the transport ship. Civilians , pilots , animal trainers , zookeepers , all unprepared for everything that happened , all now part of the biomechanic nightmare , trying to understand what they were before and have become .
