Title: Color and mood
Notes: Different hue. More appropriate I think.
The lighting is slightly different too. Darker and more mysterious while keeping some key elements visible like the face and some flesh strips parts on the tail.

Some pillars are more visible too.

The next one will be my last entry.
A bigger format if possible. ;)
Just need to add small (but useful) post effects after flattening the layers.

Notes: This is a close up on the slightly new pose I gave to her "tail" as suggested before.
The tail appears twisted and more balanced than before. I find it more dynamic indeed. Thanx Goli ! ;)

As we can see on this picture there are many undesired artifacts. Including apparent "pixels" in the volumetrics.

Post-processing and compositing time has come!

(except for volumetrics. I will render them with a higher level of anti-aliasing).

Crits are welcome about everything ! ;-)

Notes: I've just added a back lighting to the girl. Just for her, because the focus must be on her at first. The skulls must remain barely visible at first glance.
And the shape of the body becomes legible.(not sure this is the right word...)

I could add more realism, work more on the textures etc but the software would crash more often than it already does :-D. And considering the lighting scheme, I don't need ultra-realistic textures...at least for the petals.

Notes: It seems like a dejà-vu but the flesh strips have thickness now (about 2mm) and I refined them the best I could to make them look tensed up.

This is not a complete success though.
Some parts don't look tensed up enough to my taste.

But this is not so visible fortunately.

Hands are in a straight position for the moment.
Flesh has no thickness either so it tends to merge with metal areas. I'll add thickness when I have the final model.

It fits better with the other parts of the character.
There is only the framework of the petals at the moment. They could nearly stay like that. Not sure.

On the other hand I was thinking to use skin to fill the empty areas in the petals. It would certainly restore the balance between flesh and metal.

I should hurry now...

So here is an option for the lower parts. Some bone like shapes (with metallic aspect) mixed with the "tank tread" style tentacles.

That could be useful for the petals too.

I think that I will add many rusty metal parts in the female body. They will echo the plant's shape and materials.
