Title: Fila Image!
Notes:
Well, At some point I seriously doubted I'll finish. I got a lot of work and had very little time to work on the project, but at the end it was possible!.

Explanation:

This image was conceived to be in a Challenge where lots of people of different cultures will see it, so I decided to put elements that most people could know, like the rats and the toilet. That will remove any cultural barrier when getting the message. The next important thing was to achieve the idea in an interesting way. I decided to do it using something funny, when it's time to communicate something massively, fun is always good. I am satisfied with the results, because I think the image represents very good the spirit of the Challenge, it's clear and "globalized". Well, I'm very nervous, let's see what happens

Title: Additional FX
Notes:
I added Fur, DOF in photoshop. I did some fur test with 3DStudio's Hair and Fur, but didn't get satisfied with the quality of very thin fur. Also the render times at 640x480 were very high, now imagine at 4k!. So I decided to do it in photoshop, and I kind of like the results.

Title: shading
Notes:
here is the shaded scene, used regular lights to lit the image and simulate bouncing light, no cast shadows, only the rectangular direct light on the front.

Title: building the shot
Notes:
well, here is the composition of the shot, based on the concept sketch, I choosed a dutch angle to give it a feel of disorientation. and put the rats in some kind of a radial composition inwards the vortex.
