Title: My final final image!
Notes: Hi everyone, I will respond to your kind comments and suggestions on my next post, but I wanted to say this was a great and very challenging challenge. I did my best with work and everyday life, and a move taking much of my time. I had a lot of fun putting this image together. I love these challenges as they allow me to explore my mind and create something I normally would not, plus all the great comments, suggestions, and friendly encounters help me get better as an artist. The final image was put togther through about 10 layers. City, characters, smoke, background, etc. all had their own layer. Finally composited in photoshop where the color was matched so everything looks like its from the same picture. Enjoy!! Until Next time..

Title: Here is a quick render of the humanoid
Notes: Ive only gotten a temporary internet connection to upload the remaining pieces of the puzzle for this challenge as Ive moved here the last week. This is a render of the humanoid character with armor. At this point legs are unnecessary as they wont be needed in the final shot. More to come tonight.

Title: Balcony with some lighting
Notes: Heres the lastest as far as this challenge. This is the balcony that the chracters will be fighting on. I will spend the last day I have posing them like the michelangelo style I said from the begining. The balcony still needs detailing, Ill provide that on the next update. Lighting is mainly area lights and a direction and ambient at low intensity. Color tone may change later on depending on how they all work together. More to come..

This is where im at with the tribesman. Im slowly doing the texture work and adding little things to him. I should have him completelly modeled and textured within the next couple days. Title: City Scape Update
Notes: Here is the latest update. Ive really been busy here the last couple weeks. I plan on finishing this thing though, so plan on updates up the wazoo! Here is the city scape im working on, im doing one building at a time. The color theme as stated before is gold and pearl blue. I want it to look like a perfect clean bright uptopia. More to come.

Title: Atlantica City WIP - Building 1 WIP
Notes: Ive decided to work on the city a little. The name of it is called "Atlantica", thus the similarities to The lost city of Atlantis. The city though will thrive with beauty and the architecture will be not of this world. Buildings as high as the eye can see, and architecture resemblng an ancient age. The color scheme the city will have will be a Pearl with Gold trim. Once the City is made, I will show small indications of the start of descruction and war.

This is a small update of one of the buildings, I plan of having several kinds of buildings of different shapes and styles once done.

Title: Starting on some texturing - Alienhead
Notes: Here is begining of the texture of the tribesman alien creature. I still have yet to do the spec map as well as finish adding veins and discoloration, thus, I wanted to show an update to say im still around, so more to come shortly, maybe even the start of some of the scene work.

Title: Latest Update on the Alien Armor
Notes: HI, this is just another update of the alien armor, I still have other details to work out as well as finishing something things around the arms and lower body, but all in all its starting to come together. Once he is complete I will start on the other alien heads, I will place my concept sketches of these heads in a future post so you are able to see how they were created.

Watching everyone elses creations, I feel Like im working at a much slower pace, I better start picking up the load if im going to have a chance to finish. Michael, thanks again for your support, you already know how I feel about your entry! Marvelous! Chao for now!

Title: Latest Update! Full body Alien 1 WIP

sorry for lack of updates the last couple days. Here is where im at with the first alien creature. Ive started with some of the detail work now that Ive masked out the body. Title: New Species Head Model - Color Test
Notes: This is the new race of species that the humanoids will be fighting against. I will have 3 types of alien type creatures that will be seen. This is one of them. It was created with the same head from the human character I finished a couple days back. I now have another 10 heads to go. THis is a texture color test of the model, it may change by the end. I do feel this idea fits under the guidelines stated here with parenthasis:

The subject could be an individual or group, a space ship or fleet, a "city or city-world". Whatever it is, it should capture a pivotal moment that is part of a vast galactic civilisation or conflict.

The last thing I want to do is follow the crowd, I believe originality is a must and so Ill do my best to follow the guidelines and stick with my initial vision. For the sky, I will have many planets and a vast universe as part of the one im trying to depict. I hope to create a world that feels real, yet is not and interacts with the galactic space opera theme. As I have more things finished, I will look to yours and other opinions and what looks best, and where I should take this. Thank you very much for your sincere comments and suggestions.

Title: Battle of the Tides - The Lost Empire of Atlantis
Notes: Here is my black and white concept sketch of what I will be creating. The scenerio will be the Lost city of Atlantis. I will depict a scene which will show the final days and hours before its fall. Atlantis has storyies of being a rome type of empire. Beautiful architect, advanced technology, and beautiful scenery. I will put a futuristic attitude towards everything showing how maybe Atlantis was more advanced then us in technology. There will be tons of elements showing my vision. I will be creating the scene with a romanesque / renaissance feeling. Characters, Colors, and scenery by the end will hopefully have the same feel as a Michaelangelo painting. The picture shows a battle brewing between to cultures in the foreground, the background shows the end of an empire. More to come shortly..
