Click for full-sized image		Milestone: Final Image Date Submitted: Wednesday, 31 January 2007 Title: Eon Final Notes: My illustration contains three pivotal scenes from the book. At the top is the asteroid Thistledown orbiting Earth. For the Russian Colonel Mirsky its appearance in the night sky becomes a source of hope. At the bottom is a city being bombed with nuclear missiles. Because of distrust in how the exploration of the asteroid is handled, Russia begins a nuclear war with the United States known as the Death. The center depicts a gate opening by the main character. In an attempt to exit the asteroid and return to another dimension in which the Death never happened, Patricia uses technology she finds there to open a portal to another Earth.
