A dream evoles into an animated CG film for this Belgian student.
26 June 2006, by Paul Hellard
‘Stilt Walkers’ is a four minute animated student film directed and produced by Alexis van der Haeghe. On his new site, van der Haeghe has a large collection of traditional figures, which he appears to have made good use as key characters in the film.
He has just finished a BA in Computer Graphics at his local high school in Namur, Belgium, and looking for a job in animation, preferably in London. The story follows a boy, Odon, who travels about in his flying machine, and spots a skirmish between two Stilt Walkers. Quite a weird and wonderful storyline. The production took seven months to complete, and is available to view here and at his personal site.
