Spontaneous Creates All-CG
Surprise
Posted 16 December, Spontaneous Publicity
Production house Spontaneous has accomplished a creative
tour-de-force in producing an animated television campaign for
the Pennsylvania Department of Health. This public service campaign
consists of two thirty-second spots 'Chase' and the entirely CG
'Surprise', intended to offer assistance to expectant and new mothers
facing childcare crises. Using a stork as the embodiment of impending
pregnancy, a creative team led by Lawrence Nimrichter, Spontaneous'
Director of Animation, artfully crafted an unforgettable spot as
they brought the emotionally charged concept to life on screen.
Nimrichter and the rest of the team created 'Surprise' entirely in
CG as a way to fully demonstrate their creative talents. Created
using Softimage|XSI, creative energy flowed into every detail at
each stage of the production process. The result: the evolution of
'Surprise' parallels that of a feature, in its quality.
